RE: Coleman Roadtrip grill (Update from Coleman)
Sounds like they either misunderstood what you wanted from them or are flat out ignoring your message to them. It's hard to say for sure not knowing what you wrote to coleman to begin with.
I pretty much told them what I said at the orginal post.
RE: Coleman Roadtrip grill (Update from Coleman)

RE: Camping nights per year
We have been living in our fiver 5-6 nights week since May at our little "private" RV site at our radio station transmitter/tower on the south edge of our town. We try to get out of town to other parks about twice a month. It makes going to work a little more bearable. It has been a fantastic season!!! :B
RE: Coleman Roadtrip grill (Update from Coleman)
The spider nest seems to make the most sense. I will have to try to get into the inside of it and try to fix it. Appreciate the help!!!!!
Coleman Roadtrip grill (Update from Coleman)
This spring, DW and I purchased a Coleman Roadtrip grill which has worked flawlessly this season. Then this Saturday evening, I was warming it up when I noticed flames coming from above the left side heat setting dial on the control panel 10 minutes after I fired it up. I quickly shut off the propane and put out the flames. The top left half of the plastic panel where the left flame control is melted away. It seems it has propane leaking out in the inner control when I later turned on the tank to check for a leak there.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Now I have to try to find the receipt from Menards so I can take it back.
RE: What happened to diesel prices
Fuel prices should be lower since the price of oil is down to $114/barrel. This is because the dollar is strengthening and the demand for fuel dropped.
Plus most americans have gone from wannabe hippies to normal folks trying to survive and we are saying, "Drill, Drill, Drill".
Right on Eric. The push for drilling along with the President taking off the excutive ban on offshore drilling has really helped bring the prices down. Here in Harvey, ND 4.17, down .30 in the last two weeks. :B
RE: Fuel Rants & Raves - Post 'Em Here!
The consumer will pay for the end product, thus allowing you to produce the product. - Jimbo
first of all, business does NOT PAY TAXES -Jimbo
Second that for JIMBO!!!! He is right on the mark and put it absolutley perfect.!! - The Weekenders
Explain how Jimbo was right on the mark. He states that because the consumer will pay for nuclear power, hyro-electric power, and solar power, this allows "you" to produce those products. Is that what they were teaching in economics class? Who is "you" and where do they get the authority to build dams and nuclear power plants? They just acquire the right-of-way on our rivers? They just dispose of spent nuclear fuel as they wish? They don't have to go through the government?
Businesses don't pay taxes? That's right on the mark? Exxon pays half of those large profits back to the government in taxes. Maybe Jimbo can explain to them that they needn't bother paying taxes. Our corporate taxes are about the highest in the world, but don't tell Jimbo.
Come om people, we can do better than this. How about some ideas. You know, solutions. I get it; you hate the way our government has failed you in the past. But at the same time you are still getting those prescription drugs paid for and you are still cashing your social security checks, even if you are 80 years old and have taken out twice as much as you ever paid in. You don't hate the government, you hate some of what government does and embrace other things they do. If you are a member of AARP, you are part of a huge political organization that tries to milk the government at every opportunity. You want them paying for all your medical needs and handing the bills to the next generation of taxpayers. Look at those colorful pie charts explaining where our taxes go. It use to be Medicare and Medicaid represented 1-2% of government spending. Soon they will be 30% and they will bankrupt the government. You can complain about our government but you can't do so while milking taxpayers because of a government program you happen to embrace.

Not sure where YOU took economics but your take on it is entertaining none the less. Jimbo speaks the truth. Just so you know.
RE: Fuel Rants & Raves - Post 'Em Here!
What I'm talking about are capital expenditures. You want more wind power and more hydro power and nuclear power, etc. But who is going to lay out the capital? Who will pay to expand energy sources?
.
I see you were absent during Economics 101 eh?
The consumer will pay for the end product, thus allowing you to produce the product.
If you think "windfall taxes" on "Big Oil" is going to encourage them to increase capital expenditures, you are huffing glue.
first of all, business does NOT PAY TAXES, the consumer does. If my Tax Bill increases, I increase the cost of my product/service to match that increase. That insures that I still have a profit margin, which insures that my employees get paid, that I pay my premium on their Health Insurance, and their 401k accounts are funded.
Nuclear power is the cheapest to produce, then Coal, then Hydro, then Oil, then LNG, then wind, then Solar, Why are we not building Nuclear Power Plants(which will be REQUIRED if you get a electric fleet of cars roaming the roads and plugging in every night)?
EIS, NIMBY's, and Greenpeace.....Court battles.....
If you think the GOVERNMENT can manage our Energy Production, you are lost, they cant even manage keeping our roads in good shape...gee, wonder where all that fuel tax goes? Gee, wonder where all that revenue from Vehicle Registration goes?
Gee, wonder where all our Social Security Taxes went?
As for me, I demand Fire Service, Police Service, Good Schools for my kids, and Good Roads.....Oh, and I pay for those services thru TAXES.
SO, TELL ME AGAIN THE BENEFIT OF PAYING MORE TAXES?
guess I'll go inflate my tires and solve the energy problem......Have to agree with Jimbo. The last thing government needs is more of my money to squander. I can squander it all by myself, THANK YOU!:B
For some Economics 101 is where they learned to cook up screwy ideas like paying more taxes.:S
Second that for JIMBO!!!! He is right on the mark and put it absolutley perfect.!!
RE: DISH Network
I feel your pain. I have Dish because it was a little cheaper. You get what you pay for. DISH is crap. Everyone talks about how easy direct is to set up and most of us with DISH are always asking how to align, get a better signal, etc.
I hate DISH.
I've had Dish for years and have no problems, love it.
Perhaps you folks have operator error?
bumpy :p
Likewise for us. It is really simple to get 119 and 110 when setting up. A good compass and a Winegard Sat. finder and in minutes the Twins game is on.
RE: What is important when looking for a campground?
If you find a campground on line with pictures that looks really nice, be careful. We were down that road this summer in Dickinson, ND. The website pics made it look awesome and in reality it was a piece of a crap.
Is proper CG etiquatte fading away?
As I type this, DW and I are sitting under the awning at a real nice CG in Minot, ND and just witnessed one of many times different teens have walked thru campsites going to and back from the shower house. They seem to look for sites where no one is sitting or where there are few obstuctions like picnic tables etc. I wanted to say something a few minutes ago but decided I am here to relax and not get riled up. Maybe Mark Polk of RV Education 101 can do a video on proper etiquatte for teens :B
RE: First-time diesel fueling with trailer
I have noticed some truckstops will have an island for pickups/RV's. Just look for that. Much easier to fill from those pumps than the semi hi speed pumps.
RE: Big boom, but I didn't go down
I have several "dents" in my bulbuos head after many incidents walking into it. I don't think it has afffffffecdttrfd mky brrrrrrain funktioooooonns.
RE: What is killing the RV Industree?
Fuel to high, green people won't let US drill for oil.
Fuel being too high for me.
Nothing is stopping them from drilling in lots of proven areas that they still are not drilling. Let them use what is already open to them and again, IS ALL READY PROVEN OIL FIELDS.
What about the huge fields in the Dakotas that where discovered in the late 90's, that they JUST NOW FOUND?
Mike
Not true, The Bakken Formation has been known about for years (since the 50's), older technology prevented any major drilling, but with advances now, they can do it.
RE: List of RV Manufacturers that are closed or closing?
Sure is funny how people are intimidated by the media and run for cover.
My wife is a financial advisor "invester" for a large firm and can't seem to get a day off, very busy.
We recently purchased a new trailer and saw a surprising number of potential buyers at this particular rv dealer.
We asked our salesman how busy they were and he said June sales were some of the highest he has seen.
The trailer we traded in sold in three days.
My sister just quit her job to help her husband with his new landscaping business as he has more work then he expected.
Remember when the media said gas prices would be $8 a gal by July. False.
Remember when the media said the stock market would crash to 20yr lows, last time i looked the Dow was still doing well at +11k
Im not buying it....let the good times roll.
You make some good points. With all the 24 hour cable media and internet news, people are deluged with all this negative information, and unfortunately, too many act on it as if it was gospel. These news anchors always have to dramatize things.....if an expert says it's fair, the anchor says it's bad.....if the expert says it's bad, the anchor says it's horrible. Just this morning a news announcer was telling people to fill up before gas goes any higher, and the next story was how gas prices were falling! I wonder how many people ran out to fill up at $4.29 a gallon just to see the price drop to $3.99 an hour later. I also wonder how much effect the media has on RV sales compared to gas prices. This stuff happens in cycles. We survived the 70's and early 80's, and we'll survive this too.
Amen!! You both have spoken the truth! The Drive-By Media would like us to think the sky is falling:M
